An Act to amend the Civil List Act 1984

(11 June 1996

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Civil List Amendment Act 1995-96 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Civil List Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Consequential amendments

(1) The principal Act is amended by repealing sections 13, 14, 17 and 18.

(2) The principal Act is amended by deleting the words "Assistant to Ministers" in s.22(2).

3. Schedule

The First Schedule in the principal Act is amended by deleting from the First Column the references to "Chairman of Cabinet" and "Assistant to a Minister" and the corresponding amounts set out in the second column.
