An Act to approve the expenditure of moneys in excess of the constitutional limit during the year that ended 31 December 1970

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in session assembled, in accordance with the provisions of subclause (1) of Article 41 of the Constitution of the Cook Islands and by the authority of the same, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Finance Act 1972.
Whereas the Minister responsible for finance has issued and paid during the year that ended on the 31st day of December 1970 an amount of $64,757 in excess of the limit imposed by Article 70 (3) (b) of the Constitution as set out in the Second Schedule to the Cook Islands Constitution Amendment Act 1965 be it therefore enacted that the expenditure of the said sum is hereby approved.
This Act is administered in the Treasury.
