An Act to validate certain unauthorised expenditure from the Cook Islands Government Account and other public funds or accounts

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Unauthorised Expenditure Validation Act 1987.
The sums issued and paid out of the Cook Islands Government Account or other public funds or accounts during the financial years that ended with the 31st day of March 1985 and the 31st day of March 1986 amounting in the aggregate to the sum of $237,597 and $726,478 respectively, being amounts in excess of the total amounts authorised to be issued and paid by paragraph (b) of sub-clause (3) of Article 70 of the Constitution, are hereby validated and declared to have been lawfully issued and paid.
This Act is administered in the Treasury
