Declaration of Designated Mental Health Facilities Order 2017

In the exercise of powers conferred upon me pursuant to section 4B of the Mentally Disordered Persons Act 1963 (‘the Act’), and with the approval of the Cabinet, as Minister responsible for Health, I hereby make the following Order:

1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Designated Mental Health Facilities Order 2017.

2 Commencement

This Order shall commence on the day it is notified in the Gazette.

3 Designation of mental health facilities

The following places are designated as mental health facilities for the purposes of the Act:

(a) the Republic of Nauru Hospital; and

(b) the following places at RPC1:

• (i) the IHMS Clinic;
• (ii) the Managed Accommodation Area; and
• (iii) the Supported Accommodation Area.
