Compassionate Ground Decisions:
Detainee Name: Paul Shem
Decision: His application for parole is approved on medical grounds. The Board is concerned at the lack of an update medical report. However, he is eligible for parole having served half of his term. But with a lengthy sentence the Board imposes a very strict conditions that:
Decision: - He must report for medical check-up once every month from June 2014 and thereafter.
- He must produce a copy of the medical report to the Probation Service.
- In the event he fails to do this or he fully recovers before 26th July 2021, he must be returned to the Correctional Center.
- That he lives with this mother and community members at Fresh Water area.
- To be supervised by Chief Zetrak until end of Parole sentence as his Community Justice Supervisor.
- To undertake any Programs directed by Supervising Probation Officer.
- To undertake spiritual counselling and undertake any church activities as directed by Probation Officer where he can have access
- To undertake Niufala Rod Program as directed by Probation Officer
- Home visitation to be undertaken by a Probation Office in the case of monitoring due to his situation where is on wheelchair.
- Not to re-offend or commit any other offence.
