Case No 197.
This eighteenth day of July one thousand nine hundred and thirteen in the matter of a charge against F. Spooner, of Aoba.
WHEREAS having been duly summoned the above named F. Spooner has not appeared to answer the said charge and has therefore been judged in default of appearance he stands convicted of having on or about the 31st. December 1912 at Aoba sold alcoholic liquor to the native named Ngwero Malto contrary to the provisions of Article LIX of the New Hebrides Convention.
THEREUPON the Joint Court sentences the said F. Spooner for his said offence to pay a penalty of two pounds (£2) and the costs of these proceedings.
The native Ngwero Malto is fined four shillings (4/-) in default of his appearance after being duly summoned.
