JUDGMENT

ass="MsoNoMsoNormal" style="margin-top: 1; margin-bottom: 1"> The Defendants appeared before this Court th November 2000. Of the 16 Defendants the 11 of11 of them present on that date pleaded not-guilty to a charge of Contempt of Court contrary to section 23 of the Courts Act [CAP.122]. This Court adjourned the case for trial today. Everyone was well a ware of the trial hearing today. 10 of the Defendants are in Court this morning. Abel Vinbel is in Santo and Noel Ambkeri is in Vila. Four Defendants are not physically present in Court. They are Billy Daniel, Johnathan Sisai, Sethy Rapsarie and Kalfred Kali.

On the last occasion the Defendants were represented by Mr Kiel Lougof the Public Solicitor�s r�s Office. He also is not available in court today.

All the accuseds are from Leviamp ge, North West, Malekula. They have made an effort to be be present in Court today without having to be served or reminded.

There is no complainant of the case. There are no witness statements in support of the complaint. There is no order of the Court the breach of which has been complained of.

For these reasons. I hereby dismiss all the accuseds here the charge of contempt of Court and accordingly acqu acquit each of them.
