The defendant Jimmy Remo is Charged with two (2) Counts of Sexual Intercourse without Consent, Contrary to Section 91 of Penal Code Act. A two (2) day trial was conducted from 15 June to 17 June 2016 in Luganville Santo.

The Court heard evidence from Prosecution witnesses. The defendants also elected to give evidence himself and called other witnesses in support of his own defense. At the end of the trial, after the Court heard final submissions from both Counsels, the Court found defendant Jimmy Remo not guilty of the offences charged against him.
