TELECOMMUNICATION (AMENDMENT) ACT
NO. 34 OF 2006

An Act to amend the Telecommunication Act No. 10 of 1989.

Be it enacted by the President and the Parliament as follows -

1. Amendment

The Telecommunication Act No. 10 of 1989 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF THE TELECOMMUNICATION ACT NO. 10 OF 1989

1. Subsection 16 (6)

(a) After "Gazette" delete ":", substitute ".";

(b) Delete all the words from "Provided that" to and including "telecommunication service" (second occurring).
